Corporate Values

The business success of First Preston HT is only part of our proud history.  We have a 23 year history of sharing our success with others, particularly those hit hardest by poverty in our country- women and children.  Through the company’s foundation, we support proven programs that provide access to the basic needs of women and children, investing over $10 million in proven programs to promote economic self sufficiency and provide housing, jobs, healthcare, childcare and food.

A long time supporter of Habitat for Humanity, First Preston HT has sponsored the building of 32 Habitat Homes for families in 11 states.  Founder and CEO Nancy T. Richards has served on Habitat’s International Women Build Steering Committee.  The company annually hosts a “Women Build” event in which women business, political and community leaders join together to build a Habitat Home for a deserving family.

Believing in the powerful combination of business ventures and values, a program to promote entrepreneurial ventures incorporating social values has been established in partnership with Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business. In the international Richards Barrentine Values and Ventures™ Business Plan Competition teams from globally recognized universities compete for awards and funding.  For more information on the program, click here.

Through First Preston HT and the foundation, the company has established long-term partnerships with non-profit and faith-based organizations that share our vision of making a difference in the lives of others, some of which include:
